I have wrestled whether I should forward this to my work family or not. Well, as you can tell, I am a little “chicken”. Getting just enough strength to send this at the end of the day.
I am one of the co-founders of Rehema Education Fund. It is a 501c-3 tax exempt organization set up to help underprivileged kids in Kenya get an education. We are educating four kids right now. A&H donated the Jeans’ proceeds in June, and for that we will forever be grateful.
Today is Giving Tuesday, and I am very passionate about educating Kenyan kids from really poor families. I grew up poor, my mom and dad had eight kids.
We lived in a one room house, the one room was the kitchen, living room, and bedroom. We shared an outside bathroom with another family. My mom had to talk to some neighbors, to allow my older siblings to sleep in their homes at night. You see, the one room that my parents rented couldn't accommodate them together with eight kids. Life was extremely hard for us.
I am a productive member of the society, because people took a chance on me and were instrumental in me getting an education. I give, not because I have extra cash, or I am wealthy, I give because education made a difference in my life. Please join us by visiting https://rehemaeducation.org/
